2015 Blazing Swan: Inspiration
Dearest Blaze Community,
We hope you enjoy this 11 minute short film of what was an impressive event.. by you, the people. One year after our inaugural event- Inception, we were blown away by the increase in community participation by all those who attended. From art structures, mutant vehicles, amazing theme camps, performance acts, rallies and a big thank you to those who ran after tiny pieces of rubbish when the Willy Willy's ripped through.
The contribution of the new comers (Paul and Dave AKA CRYCAL..you rocked our world! Excitedly nervous about what you have in store for 2016) and previous participants.. the 'Straight to the pool room' two man bar to the 150 plus capacity of Kamp Koasis, Papa Zahns and countless others. The marches by Camp Unicorn Power and the Liberators Dance crew (Great to see you out there Pete!).
The cumulative energy of people and the many hands that made light work was a site to behold...and we haven't even acknowledged the monumental efforts of the volunteers, sound camps, local community, land owners/farmers lending us there machinery..the list is endless!
Some say that it's the small touches, such as the gifting, sharing and all round abundance of generosity that makes this event a unique and touching experience. Coffee, Pizza, Mie Goreng, Hot Chips and bicycle powered crushed Fresh Juice! It's definitely stepped up a cog from last year and we do hope that the joy and wonder of Blazing Swan Creative Debauchery continues!
Again, thank you....we couldn't have done it without you. Blaze on!
PS: Apologies if you didn't get a mention in this write up. Also, apologies if your art piece, theme camp, mutant vehicle or performance piece didn't get captured. Was just too much going on! Lessons have been learnt! More videographers required!
